Folks, this is a very unusual find. I can’t really call it a “fresh barn find”, but it is a one owner car that was purchased new at the Porsche dealer in San Fransico, C.A. by it’s now 80 year old gentleman owner. It has never before been offered for sale until now. It is a numbers matching car with the exterior color being choosen by the owner and a full leather tan interior done as well. It has a 4 speed transmission, the engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago and runs very stong. The miles are showing 49k. The transmission shifts very smoothly with no hint of any syncro weakness. The car has never ever had any rust as it spent it’s intire life on the west coast and New Mexico until arriving in Maine some 15 years ago. The engine bay is original condition and could use some detailing. The carpets were replaced decades ago with what we call loop carpet and should be replaced with the original type Perlon. The radio was upgraded decades ago as well with an 80’s vintage Blaupunkt with Infinity speakers and should as well be replaced with a period correct type. The headlights are the Bosh H4’s and correct for the era. The paint overall is in very good condition with some scatches here and there. The car has never been damaged. The interesting front and rear protection bars are unique and are of uncertain origin. This is a unique chance to own a one owner one driver Porsche from new.
